I have been making more progress on my England Quilt (the original that I am borrowing from can be found at
http://fredashive.blogspot.com/2012/10/london-2012-finish.html )
Here is my first little row of houses. I didn't even notice that I put all the doors on the same side. How funny!
Here is my castle that I got from the following pattern...
I think I ordered this pattern from The Fat Quarter Shop
This is also the pattern that I got my crown from and I am planning on using the Queen's initials as well. Not sure yet about the union jack. I am having a hard time finding a good pattern for it in the size I need so I may have to use this one which is applique in the rectangular parts. I would prefer a good paper pieced version.
And here are my first two telephone boxes that I still need to do the embroidery on. I think I like the one on the left a little better. I still need to make two more of these and about 6 more houses.
And here is the beginning of my "London Eye" Ferris wheel. I am using my 10 degree wedge ruler for it.
I am having such a good time with this quilt. Tomorrow I will have to do some actual customer quilting! But I am sure I will grab some more time to spend with this little project.
Happy Stitching!
What a beautiful quilt. So many unique blocks.
