I've been working hard this week...

First, I want to give you a glimpse of what is on the quilt machine.  Another 2 hours or less and I would be done but I am pooped.
This is a pantograph pattern from www.patternman.com (I think that is it, it might be thepatternman.com)

Can you see the cowboy hat?

How about the sheriff's star in the next picture?

I love that star!!!

Cowboy boot...

and the gun.  I know- it is really hard to see here.  It is also really slow going so I have actually been alternating between some free motion "rope" and this pattern.  I still have about 1/3 of the quilt to go which should really be only 3 or 4 more passes.

And this is a project I am working on for my daughter who loves the Beatles-shh- its a secret- hope to get it made into a pillow by Christmas.  This pattern is from Elefantz Home Magazine-by Jenny at www.elefantz.com  She does lovely embroidery and quilt projects.
I am still planning on adding some "flower power" before I quilt it and make it into a pillow cover which I will then make a pillow form for.

Don't know what sort of pillow to make for my boy but I usually try to basically balance out their gifts-giving similar or equal type items- so I may have to think of something.

I wanted to get my daughter's oriental quilt quilted and bound for Christmas but don't think I am going to get to that.

I have other projects I am working on too.  Really dying to show them all to you-soon.

Quilters Love Snowdays

There's nothing like a snowday to warm my quilter's heart.  I have barely stepped away from the machine today while my husband, poor guy, had to work from home.
Yes, this is enough snow to put us desert dwellers on standby.  It is supposed to get down to 2 degrees tonight.  Brrr!

Okay, this project that I am about to show is a secret-its a Christmas present- but it is just so darn cute, I have to give you a peek.  So, Mom, make sure Dad doesn't get anywhere near this blog!
I hate it when I have to use the flash cause the colors are all off but, there are more pictures below that show you the colors better.
My dad loves John Wayne and old westerns so this is going to be perfect for him!
This guy is my favorite!
I don't know, though, I like this one too.

I told my husband that I might like it too much to give away, even to my dad, and he told me I would just have to go visit it often.

It is going to be soooo cute when I get it quilted-just wait til you see the pantograph I am gonna use!

This is a quilt that my Mom made out of Block Lotto Blocks she won.  It is for her great nephew who just started at-you guessed it- Texas A & M.  I quilted it for her finally-it was the quilt that was on Lizzy for months.  Now she can finally get it bound and sent off.

In addition to all that, I also pulled a UFO out of the closet and am working on it for a Christmas present but no sneak peeks of it 'cause that person has been known to peek at my blog now and then.
