Safe Haven block #2

 

Here is my second block for my Safe Haven quilt (Thimbleberries pattern)

I think I may change some of the blocks and the setting on this quilt.   I think it needs some birds to go with the bird houses...and maybe a cat to be safe from???  More about that later...

I am enjoying using fabrics from my stash to make this quilt.  It is going to be very scrappy.  I did have to purchase the dark green though because I did not have any.  

I also chose to make my gold flying geese 2 different shades of gold.  I am very happy with the result.  

I am learning a lot of new techniques with these blocks, as well as getting a lot of practice matching points!
