Orca Bay Mystery With Bonnie Hunter

Two and a half hours into step one of the Orca Bay Mystery and this is all I have to show for it!!???
46 two and a half inch squares and probably enough halves to make 15 more squares.
I knew I was crazy to start another UFO!
I  LOVE Bonnie, but really, is she trying to kill us?  Is she in to torture???
I have only myself to blame because I knew better and yet, here I am, UFO # 30 (at least).
I will never have 224 of these by next Friday, no way possible, and that is with two days off before then.

Did I mention that the last mystery I tried of hers, Double Delight is still in hundreds of little pieces?  Oklahoma Backroads is too and I think I have some of Bonnie's Pineapple blocks started somewhere too.

Truthfully, Bonnie, I wish you all the best!  I hope you know what you have gotten us all into.

Happy stitching to all of you working on those 224 hourglass blocks!

  1. I am glad she gave us this one first, so if we are not done by next week, we can use them for leaders and enders on the other steps of this wonderful mystery. You could use some of your others as leaders and enders too, and get them all finished by next year. That would be a wonderful goal and accomplishment too!
    Good Luck!

  2. I couldn't sleep last night so I was able to get about 100 of them ready to sew together into the final hourglass. But, realistically, it probably will be next year before I get around to it. Good luck to you too!

  3. I think I can. I think I can. Of course you can. Don't think of it as starting another UFO. Think of it as a quilt that you are going to finish. THEN you can start in on some of those UFOs. Good luck!
