Another Olympic finish

Not a great picture but a fabulous quilt!
True Colors binding is finally finished.  After almost 2 hours spent on it this evening, my fingers are very sore from pushing and pulling that needle.

Obviously, I still have some work to do on learning that watermark thing!  My husband showed me the quick way to do it in photoshop but it comes out too small.  I will have to go in and see if I can enter a new text size manually...

Today was spent cleaning my bedroom, a major cleaning that hasn't been done in at least a year.  No more dust bunnies (well maybe a few under the bed still).  No more clothes laying everywhere (well, at least not in the bedroom since my closet is actually in the master bath).  I also cleaned out the linen closet and got the new dust ruffle on my daughter's bed-just been 2 or 3 months since I bought it for her-its just plain white so that it will go with whichever quilt or comforter she feels like using at the time.

And, to my husband's great chagrin, I have moved my sewing machine into the bedroom because I have simply outgrown my sewing room with all the storage and my longarm in there.  I had to promise to keep it clean and uncluttered.  I have a feeling I will need lots of baskets to carry stuff from there to the other end of the hall to hide the mess in the sewing room.

All of my local teacher friends are headed to work tomorrow.  I feel for them and am so very thankful that I will be spending the "work" day taking a kid to her first day of high school, quilting, picking up the kid from HS, quilting, running errands, quilting, doing some housework, quilting, oh, and, quilting, did I say quilting.  Whoo Hoo!

  1. GREAT finish! I LOVE all the colors!!!!!!!

I have this full week "off" yet before I need to put in some 'flex' time next week (16 hours). THEN, the week after that, we are back....the kids after Labor Day weekend.
So...still some 'Quilting' time for me yet (and preserving---can I get an 'ugh') ?? :p

    1. I know preserving is a lot of work but you will be eating all of that good, homegrown food while the rest of us are going to the grocery and wishing for spring veggies!

  2. Hope the sewing machine in the bedroom works out, I know what it is like to have small spaces, but hubby would never allow the sewing machine in the bedroom. Love the quilt!

  3. Beautiful quilt and isn't it funny how "we" quilters seem to take over more and more space!
