Vibrant scrap quilt

I finally finished the binding on the scrappy pineapple quilt. My son used the word "vibrant"  to describe it when I showed it to him. It is made with block lotto winnings from a few years ago.  I was out of the yellow that I used for the inner border and found the butterflies that I used in the corners.  I think they look nice.  I found a similar yellow in my stash that has the hint of bees on it, mostly just black dots for eyes and some white for wings that imply there are bees there.  I still need to add a label but am calling it done.
This is probably the quilt that will go with me to my quilt guilds retreat next month for my bed.  It is really just about lap size and I am claiming it for myself!

Here you see the back with a closeup of the "Mountain Laurel" pantograph.  This blue is the one I ordered for Hawaii Sunset but when it arrived it was way too turquoise!  You will see a few quilts with this as the backing!  I think it works well with this one.

I did not piece this quilt but I did quilt it this week.  It is a raffle quilt for my quilt guild.  Isn't it gorgeous?!  I love the blue and orange/peach together!  I quilted it with a pantograph called "A Little Bit of Fluff"  by www.patternman.com
A close up of the front and then the back.
then Lizzie was giving me fits again and it took me a while to get her back on track.  She was having a tense day (her tension was off and she was not cooperating with getting it back to where it needed to be).  She is very temperamental but when she is on, it is fabulous!

currently waiting to be hand bound:
Hawaii Sunset
My daughter's oriental quilt
a baby quilt
a little art quilt
and the fireworks quilt that I need 30 more inches of binding, I was that much short, and can't fine the @#$#@%% fabric!

Happy Weekend!
