Shamrock Shuffle

My son and I ran a 5K this morning.  Well, a lot of it was uphill so there was a lot of walking and a lot of running going on.  He finished in 37 minutes, I finished in 42.  My first 5K ever.  His second.  Seven weeks until the Run for the Zoo 5K.  Hopefully my time will look lots better by then and I will maybe start showing some slimming effects- I HOPE!  I have been running for about 9 weeks and can just barely tell a difference in some of my pants.  At this rate, I will lose some of my roundness by the time I am 101 years old.

I did some playing with my tension on Lizzy last night and this afternoon.  It is okay with hand guided quilting but just not working well with the computer run quilting.  Not happy about that.
I watched a good you tube video that a friend told me about.  Look up "Jamie Fallen" and find the video about tension.  The same friend has given me some great magazines to read that I didn't even know existed.  Machine Quilting Unlimited, Unlimited Possibilities, and IMQA On Track

I have been working on quilts for customers and for classes that I am going to be teaching.  I will show you when I get a chance.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Irish blessing kind of day!

I didn't realize you invested in computer driven quilting. Yay you! How long have you had that up-n-running?

    1. It is a used but refurbished Shirley Stitcher II. My dealer told me it was exactly like the new quilt magician but with a smaller screen. I have had it about 5 or 6 weeks but I am not really liking it yet. I will keep you posted...
