Getting a jump on January

This is the UFO I have decided to work on for January.  It was a kit purchased with my Christmas gift certificate from 2009-yes it has been only slightly started for about a year now.  It is the "French Garden" pattern from Swirly Girl Designs.  I have the 16 patch blocks finished and now I have the 48 flying geese done.
However, the cream fabric was supposed to be half a yard larger than it was so now I am going to have to return to the quilt shop and hope they still have it for the inner border!
These are the scraps from my flying geese blocks.  They will make nice leaders and enders.

I am trying really hard not to remember that I have to go back to work in a week.  There is way too much quilting and cleaning to be done.  There is no way I will be ready.

  1. Shhhhh....don't think about that until Sunday night, girl!
Kick back and enjoy your time in front of your machine. Kinda stinks to hear that you were short yardage, but I hope something worked out for you.
