You thought I'd forgotten about you, didn't you??? Nope, in fact, I am going to go ahead and reveal because that is the only way you can get your squares put together correctly.
Before I do, you can go to Google and type in "Christmas Tree Quilt", click on images, and you will get at least a dozen quilts very similar to this. They are all lovely.
So, here is the layout diagram. The colors are chosen just to suggest randomness, I did not follow specific placement for any fabric, just made sure duplicates weren't too close to each other.
Here is my tree. I am very happy with how it came out.
I considered doing a scrappy border with my left over greens and even considered adding some red ornaments in there but when auditioned next to the quilt, I settled on a simple 2 1/2 inch border of the lightest red. Then I will bind it in one of the lighter greens.
