Christmas Mystery Second Clue

First of all, I forgot to tell you to cut your Brown Squares!!!!
You need 4 brown squares that measure 2 1/2 inches each.  You can use only 1 color of brown, 2 different browns or 4 different browns.
Using the 11  2 7/8 inch neutral squares, draw a line on the wrong side from corner to corner.

Then you will match these, right sides together with a green square and sew 1/4 seam to both sides of your line (the side of your 1/4" presser foot sits on the line).

The White and green squares should look like this picture and then you cut them apart, creating half square triangles.

Then take the smallest green squares (1 3/4 ") and sew them to the corners of 9 red squares as pictured.  I sew 2 to opposing corners, iron and then sew the other 2 opposing corners and iron.  These are so small that I do not cut off my excess but that does add bulk so it is really up to you.

Your results should look something like this.  9 red and green square within a square blocks and 22 neutral/green half square triangle blocks.
